Created to Shine: Biophotons, Faith, and Divine Design

 

This is the first day of a new year, and I just had an incredible a‑ha moment that left me in tears. 😭

Something clicked today — something so simple, yet so deeply spiritual.... As I researched the concept of biophotons — tiny, ultra‑weak light emissions produced by every living cell - suddenly the language of Scripture I’ve known my whole life came alive in a new way.

It wasn’t just information. It was revelation y'all!

⭐I sat there realizing: Life literally emits light. Not metaphorically. Not symbolically. BUT biologically.

And in that moment, I felt overwhelmed — not because the science was complicated, but because it was so beautifully aligned with what God has been saying in His word:

“You are the light of the world" Here we are, thousands of years later, discovering that the cells God formed from the dust carry tiny flickers of light as they function, repair, and sustain us and we carry this light! 😭

That's BIOPHOTONS....

I literally sat there dumbfounded as I learned more in light of science and scripture. I cried because I realized how intricately God designed us — not just spiritually, but physically. I cried because I saw how deeply connected our bodies, our environment, and our faith truly are. And I cried because I sensed God inviting me into a deeper stewardship of the body He gave me.  

This Revelation Is Shaping My Intentions for the New Year...

For months I’ve been asking the Lord, What are my next steps? Where do You want me to go? How do You want me to serve? What is the work You’re calling me into now in this new chapter of my life?

I’ve prayed it. I’ve journaled it. I’ve waited on it. I’ve wrestled with it.

And today — on the very first day of a brand‑new year — this revelation dropped into my spirit with a clarity I can’t ignore. 😭

It wasn’t loud and if you've ever heard the Holy Spirit speak before, it's just a gentle whisper and in that moment, I heard Him say, “This is part of your work.”

Not the whole picture. Not the final destination. But a piece of the path I’ve been asking Him to reveal.

Understanding the beauty of God’s design - the way He wove light into life itself - is not just fascinating to me. It’s formational. It’s shaping how I see my calling, my voice, and the message I am meant to carry. 💚

🧬You see... being in the quantum space for the past couple of years, I've heard the word BIOPHOTONS being thrown around YET I've never heard it explained in this way. Not in light of scripture anyway.... it's where my FAITH and BIOLOGY begin to intertwine and I'm here to share with YOU so you can understand how fearfully and wonderfully YOU are made!

So… What Exactly Are Biophotons? (In the Simplest Terms)

Biophotons are tiny, ultra‑weak light emissions produced by every living cell in the body. They’re not mystical. They’re not “energy healing.” They’re not spiritual light.

🧬They’re simply a natural part of how God designed biology.

Every time your cells use oxygen, repair themselves, or create energy, they release faint flashes of light — so faint you need special instruments to detect them. But they’re there. Constantly. Quietly. Faithfully.

Life literally glows.... ⭐

And when I learned that, something in me said: Of course it does. Of course, God designed life to shine.... and my mind is undone.... literally........ 🤯

And this all hit me so deeply. I guess because my relationship with God has been growing and I have no words. I'm a man of unclean lips as Isaiah said. I am so not worthy of this.... but so thankful for it.

When Jesus said, “You are the light of the world,” He was speaking about spiritual identity — about reflecting His character, His presence, His love.

But today, I realized something breathtaking:

The same God who spoke those words also designed our physical bodies to carry tiny traces of light and to me that is MIND BLOWING! 🤯

This totally takes the concept of "we are energy" to a WHOLE NEW level y'all and I am so here for it!

This realization is all about alignment and stewardship of the bodies God gave us y'all!

You see.... Biophotons Reflect Your Health...

Biophotons are not a spiritual scorecard. They don’t determine your value. They don’t measure your faith. They don’t diagnose your health.

They simply reflect how active, nourished, and supported your cells are.

In other words: They’re a tiny biological echo of how well your body is functioning. And that’s where stewardship comes in.

How can we support healthy biophotons?
*By eating antioxidant rich food - the food that God placed in the garden: fruits and veggies, which all reduce oxidative stress and support cellular health. *By prayer, meditation, deep breathing - these calm our nervous system and reduce stress in body. *By spending time in natural sunlight - this regulates energy, mood and cellular rhythm. *By moving your body regularly - this increases circulation and oxygenation. *By sleeping deeply & consistently - this helps the body reset, repair and restore.

It's about honoring the body God entrusted to you.

Here's an invitation for the New Year: 
Choose stewardship over neglect. 
Choose alignment over chaos.

Choose nourishment over depletion.

Choose sunlight, movement, prayer and meditating on whatever is peaceful, pure and holy.
Choose to honor the God who made you LUMINOUS - inside and out!

This is the year you treat your health as HOLY GROUND.
The year you recognize the MIRACLE of your design.

The year you shine - so let's BLING in the New Year together because you have these magnificent lights shining in your body called BIOPHOTONS! ⭐
